FAQ

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in good ol’ Indiana!

In what subject are you majoring?

Currently, I am studying in Franklin College of Indiana and I am majoring in French Language and English Literature and Composition. However, starting in the fall of 2013, I will be attending L'Université de Savoie.

Where in France are you studying?

I will be staying with a host family in
Chambéry.

Will your time in France be your first time out of the country?

No, actually, I’ve been to Canada with my mom when I was about 19 and I went to the United Kingdom with my mom and my sister to visit my family when I was about 16.

Why did you choose to study in france?

Well, France wasn’t actually the first place I thought about studying. After deciding to major in French, France definitely became the most logical choice. I plan to make a post about how I decided on where to study and what company to go through, so be on the look out for that post if you’re interested!

What program are you using for study abroad?

I choose to study abroad through a program called ISEP. It has been pretty convenient thus far, but at the end of my semester, I’ll be sure to do a completely honest post and talk about how I think ISEP did as a host company in the off chance that I could help another potential study abroad student! Of course, I wouldn’t want to evaluate them until after I experienced an entire semester with them.

In what country were your parents born?
My dad was born and raised in good ol’ Indiana just like me, but my mom was born and raised in Llantwit Major, Wales in the United Kingdom and she moved to Indiana in her twenties where she met my dad! Then, lo and behold, I was born!

Do you have any siblings?

I actually have three siblings: an older brother, Simon, 33, an older sister, Brittany, 27, and a younger sister, Jillyan, 20.

When will you graduate?

I will graduate in May of 2014.

What are you planning to do after graduating?

You’re guess is as good as mine! I do have a few things in the works, but there is one thing you can be sure of, traveling will be involved!
